Caterham Super Seven 5-Speed

Posted by WindingRoad about 7 months ago

This Caterham Super Seven is a 2002 model and was reportedly assembled by Kampena Motors of Sonoma, California. It was acquired six years ago by the seller, who has since added more than 5k of the 6,300 indicated miles. Power is provided by a Ford Zetec 2.0L inline-four paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and Quaife limited-slip differential. The car is titled as a 1967 Lotus in Oregon, and a fluid service was performed around 2k miles ago in 2015. This Super Seven is now being offered for sale in Los Angeles, California with purchase and build receipts, as well as an Oregon replica title in the seller’s name.

Polished aluminum body work is contrasted by a yellow nose and fenders. Exterior equipment includes a side-exit exhaust, black roll bar, and rear-mounted spare. A pair of side curtain windows are included in the sale.

Panasport-style 14” wheels are wrapped in Dunlop Direzza tires date-coded from 2014, and each corner is pictured in the gallery below. This Super Seven features 4-piston front and 2-piston rear disc brakes, with a wide-track front suspension and DeDion rear suspension.

Black Caterham seats are equipped with shoulder belts, and rubber mats protect the floors. Features include a quick-release Momo steering wheel, heater, wipers, and an electronically-heated windshield. The dash features a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a digital odometer that reportedly shows over 6k miles. The temperature gauge is intermittent per the seller.

Power is supplied by a Ford Zetec 2.0-liter DOHC inline-four that reportedly produced around 210 horsepower when new. High-impedance injectors have been installed, and a fluid service was performed in 2015.

The 5-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels through a Quaife limited-slip differential.
