Auction: 2002 Caterham Super 7 6-SpeedPosted by WindingRoad about 1 week ago
Location: Santa Ynez, California
This Caterham Super 7 was built by the current owner in 2002 from a kit supplied by Autocourse Inc., a licensed Caterham retailer in California. The car has been driven just 1,500 miles since it was completed, and power is provided by a Ford Zetec 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Features include wipers, an electric heated windshield, a fresh air heater, tonneau cover, side curtain windows, carbon fiber stone guards, and a perforated exhaust shield. The interior has been fitted with a three-spoke Momo steering wheel, a four-point roll bar, and adjustable Caterham seats with four-point harnesses. A 2017 service included an oil/filter change, and the car is now being offered with a California Specially Constructed Vehicle title.
The body panels are aluminum and finished in yellow with a British racing green stripe around the nose and on the bonnet. The suspension is a double wishbone setup, and a set of staggered 13″ Minilite-style alloy wheels wear Kumho tires all around.
The exterior features carbon fiber stone-guards, a canvas tonneau cover, a perforated exhaust shield, side curtain windows, and Cibie headlights.
The dashboard includes a tachometer, speedometer, fuel pressure gauge, oil temperature gauge, a three-spoke Momo steering wheel, and a low oil pressure warning light. All interior functions are reportedly in working order, and amenities include a fresh air heater, wipers, and an electronically heated windshield. The odometer shows just 1,500 miles.
Safety features include pair of adjustable Caterham seats with red four-point harnesses and a four-point roll bar.
Power comes from a Ford Zetec DOHC inline-four equipped with fuel injection and reportedly producing around 200 hp. A close-ratio 6-speed manual with reverse sends power to a limited-slip differential. The most recent service included an oil/filter change in 2017.Contact Seller »
