This 2008 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is one of 413 3.6L cars delivered to the USA and has been driven just under 15k miles since new. The GT3 RS was produced as a street-legal track car to satisfy homologation rules for a variety of competition sanctioning bodies, and the 997 version was the last offered with a true 6-speed manual transmission. This example has been with the current owner since 2012, and it has undergone a recent PPI and over-rev report at McKenna Porsche, the results of which are viewable below. The car is sold with original literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clear California title.

Orange paint is topped with black GT3 RS decals and presents nicely in shade and bright sunlight below. Close-up shots detail stone chips in the front bumper cover. Sand blasting is shown in the rear wheel flares, and a clear protective decal has been applied to the affected area in an effort to prevent more. Small scuffs are noted on the chin spoiler and a turn signal lense.

Aerodynamic body cladding includes distinctive front and rear valances, as well as a large carbon fiber rear wing. Factory black 19″ GT3 wheels reveal large 6-piston brake calipers over cross-drilled rotors. Michelin Pilot Sport tires measure at 3.5mm tread depth up front and 3mm in the rear. A sunroof and rear window wiper are omitted, though xenon headlights with washers and heated power mirrors are equipped.

Inside, leather and Alcantara cover the dash, console, door panels, headliner, factory wheel, and shifter. The car will come with a stock GT3 driver’s seat rather than the GT2 version seen in photos. The color-matched partial roll cage is a bolt-in aftermarket item from RSS.

Black-faced instruments include a 225 mph speedometer and a dash-mounted Sport Chrono lap timer. The odometer shows just under 15k miles, approximately 10k of which were added by the current owner. Automatic speed control is equipped along with air conditioning, from which a slight mustiness was noted in the PPI. A gummy knob is also noted on the stereo/navigation system, as are possible signs of a previous aftermarket unit.

The naturally aspirated 3.6L Mezger flat-six was factory rated at 415 horsepower and is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and 40% locking differential. The PPI included an over-rev report with numbers of 67 ignitions in Range 1, 11 in Range 2, and zero in ranges 3-6 as seen below. An aftermarket center muffler and engine mounts were noted as well as a stored exhaust flap actuator fault. Brake pads were measured at 90% front and rear. Suspension features a PASM electronic damper control system.

The Carfax report shows three owners and indicates no accidents, thefts, or other issues. The seller notes a clerical error regarding the mileage posted during a 2015 emission check, which was failed due to disuse and passed two weeks later. The car will be tested again for the new owner if it stays in California.

The sale includes a collection of manuals and other original literature. Only basic service has been necessary according to the owner, receipts for which are supplied. The car is financed through the owner’s bank, which will transfer the title to the new owner upon payment of the loan.
