Derived from the Ferrari 360 Modena road car, the factory-built F360 Modena Challenge race cars were designed to compete in a Ferrari-only race series, the “Ferrari Challenge”. The 360MC accelerated, cornered, and braked significantly faster than the road version of the 360 and featured upgraded Bosch race-tuned ABS software, a stripped-down racing interior, and specially tuned exhaust which accounted for the gain in horsepower featured in the Challenge versions.

This 360 Modena Challenge, Serial #126986, was sold new in the Southwestern U.S. It was then sold to Peter Novak of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with less than 1,000 miles on the odometer. He brought the car to the 2005 Cavallino Classic track days at Moroso Raceway in Palm Beach, Florida. It was offered for sale again in 2006 in the Ferrari Market Letter with the notation: “Scuderia red. All updates, maintained by Shelton Ferrari. Ready for the 2006 Ferrari Challenge.”

Level 5 Motorsports campaigned the car in various SCCA events in 2008 and 2009, setting a track record at La Junta in the process. In addition, the Ferrari 360 was also the national title holder at the SCCA Runoffs at Road America in 2009.

This car is part of the Level 5 Motorsports auction to be held by Auctions America on May 11-13 in Auburn, Indiana. Level 5 was a prominent sports car team, running in IMSA and at the club level until Scott Tucker, the money behind the team, got in trouble with the federal government for his payday loan business operations. Level 5 had a partnership with Kelly-Moss, so the cars were maintained and operated at a high level.
