1984 Porsche 935 DP935Posted by bradiger about 5 years, 3 months ago

If you want raw speed, this is it. 806 horsepower from a factory-built twin turbo, flat fan 962 engine powers this DP935. It twice won the European Hillclimb Championship in the hands of Willy Rabl, an accomplished specialist in the long distance, (sometimes over 30 miles!), hill climbs in Europe.
Willi Rabl bought this 935 from Jurgen Opperman, who raced in the "Langstreckenrennen" (long distance races), held on the old fourteen mile Nordschleife at the Nurburgring, winning many of them. (see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBSVZ3vyvKo). On this video, you can see Opperman dicing with his team partner, Jurgen Lassig. Both men then went on to drive Porsche 962s in the World Championship for Makes.
Background: This 935 was built up on a 1976 911 Carrera chassis by the Kremer Racing Team and then given to DP, (Eckehard Zimmerman), to finish in Cologne. Zimmerman was responsible for the bodywork design and building of the 935K2 and K3.
A truly great 935, this is the car for the racer who can use great gobs of turbocharger power. From personal experience, I can also tell you that it handles and brakes well too.Contact Seller »
