1967 Honda S800

845cc All aluminum twin-cam with roller-bearing crankshaft. 10,000+rpm screamer. A top finisher in any small-bore field. Fast, rare and unique. Never fails to draw attention and admirers. Lots of spares including complete transmission.


The S-series was Honda's first foray into production automobiles with the S500 and S600 preceeding the S800. Honda produced approximately 12,000 S800s with production split between coupes and roadsters. The heart and soul of the S-series is the technically advanced 791cc twin-cam, roller-bearing motor producing 70hp at 8,500rpm in standard trim. Sold all over the world but never imported directly to the US, S800s are quickly becoming highly sought after collector cars. The S800 offered here was originally sold in Scotland and made it's way to England before being purchased as a vintage racing project car in 1985. Developed and raced by "Team Escargot" first as a coupe, it was converted to a roadster in 2001. The race prepared 845cc engine produces approximately 115hp at 9,500rpm. Highly successful in small-bore competition with dozens of class wins and several overall victories it is almost always the fastest under 1 liter production car at any event.
